We hope to engage with people on a local level by following a strategy with five steps.
step 1:
initiation
Initiating a project in a selected Woreda, establishing a task force, inviting partners, and selecting pioneers from within the community.
step 2:
Formation
Training the pioneers, studying alternative means of earning livelihoods, and mobilizing basic resources like water and electricity.
step 3:
Realization
Foundation stone laying, the launch of co-production efforts, tree planting, and the reclamation of environmental resources.
The first communal building (town hall) and town square would also be built, and co-habitation and co-production would be started.
step 4:
Consolidation
This is when the first fruits of co-production, like horticulture and small-scale manufacturing, would appear.
There would be exchanges of produce, the making of parcels, the construction of individual houses, and discussions among community leaders about the community’s future growth.
step 5:
Evaluation
ABC’s evaluation report is to be submitted to and signed by the community.
